Nestled in the lush tropical forests of Mindanao’s Davao region, the Mana Farming Community partners with award-winning tree-to-bar pioneer Auro Chocolate to produce exceptional, sustainably grown cocoa. Guided by Auro’s rigorous post-harvest standards, this dedicated smallholder collective preserves the island’s rich biodiversity—sharing its native habitat with the delicate, protected Philippine Tarsier. The resulting beans deliver an elegant and complex flavor profile, celebrated for its unique notes of caramelized apple, sweet banana, and warm rum.

Measuring barely the size of a human fist, the Philippine tarsier is one of the world’s smallest primates. These remarkable, nocturnal creatures are famously delicate, possessing an intense sensitivity to physical touch and noise that makes captivity fatal to them. Today, they face a triple threat to their survival: exceptionally low birth rates, exploitative tourism, and ongoing habitat destruction. To protect them, the Philippine Tarsier Foundation runs a specialized forest preserve where eco-tourists can quietly observe these tiny, wide-eyed primates without disrupting their fragile ecosystem.
